The European Comission Representation in Romania is organising a seminar on the protocol for construction and demolition waste management, in the context of the Framework Directive on waste that sets a 70% recycling target for this type of waste by 2020.

Currently, less than 50% of this type of waste is recovered in the European Union, although a great part of it is recyclable and constitues a pan- European market of more than 7,5 billion euro, with a potential for thousands of qualified jobs.

The speakers of the seminar will include Elena Rastei, member of the board of directors of RoGBC and coordinator of Green Homes program, who will present good practice examples from the projects certified through the Green Homes by Romania Green Building Council program.
